Our Fitness Classes

Here at LIFT, we offer a comprehensive timetable of classes for all abilities, so there’s something for everyone! All our classes are carefully designed to give a varied and well rounded fitness programme, and are coached by qualified and experienced staff so you will be well looked after from the warm up to the cool down.

LiFT Class

Our signature class! Here you will find a blend of strength and conditioning work, featuring functional weightlifting, bodyweight, and cardiovascular elements combined to challenge you across various movement combinations, loads, and time domains.

A typical LiFT class structure features a warm-up, strength or skill-based element, followed by a met-con (metabolic conditioning) workout, and finally a cool-down, so you get a comprehensive fitness session right from start to finish.

Our LiFT classes are designed with a specific and progressive strength or gymnastic focus, combined with challenging and varied met-cons to help you get the best results from your training whilst not getting bored of repeating the same workouts.

If you want to take your strength and fitness to the next level, this is the place to do it!

LiFT Lite Class

Our beginner-friendly fitness option is based on the same programming structure as our main LiFT classes, so you still receive an excellent all-around workout, but with a focus on more accessible options such as bodyweight movements and kettlebell/dumbbell work.

Don’t be fooled though, these classes will still get you working up a good sweat and are an ideal entry point into getting started on your strength and fitness if you’re a beginner, or if you’ve been out of the gym for a while and are getting back into training.

So, if you’re unsure if our main classes are right for you, then LiFT Lite is the ideal starting point!

Barbell Club

If you want to hone your skills with the Olympic Lifts, then this is the place to do it! Barbell Club runs every Tuesday evening, focussing on a range of skills and drills to improve your positioning and movement patterns with a barbell.

Suitable for all levels, whether you’re a newcomer to weightlifting and want to learn the basics, or you’re an experienced lifter looking to become more proficient and increase your lifting numbers, Barbell Club can cater to your needs and adapt any movement as required to suit your ability.

Classes run in progressive blocks that alternate between the clean and jerk, and the snatch. No two blocks are ever the same, and are all programmed and coached by our in-house Level 2 British Weightlifting qualified coach, Olly.

If you enjoy lifting heavy things, then this is the class for you!

PowerLift

Our specialist strength-building option, which is the ideal starting point for beginners and specifically designed to help you become stronger and more confident in the gym, no matter your current ability or experience with lifting weights.

Our weekly class runs every Thursday evening, and is programmed into progressive blocks so you can see how your strength is improving on a week-to-week basis. Each session focuses on a specific barbell movement, such as squats, deadlifts or pressing, followed up with complimentary strength-based accessory work, and all programmed and coached by our in-house strength specialist coach and international powerlifting athlete, Emily.

PowerLiFT is ideal for anyone looking to become stronger, more confident, and more empowered in the gym!

Team Games

Start your weekend the right way with our Saturday morning favourite, where you and a couple of friends get to tackle a challenging workout together.

Our team-based sessions normally feature higher rep ranges of movements and further distances then you would normally see in individual workouts as you all get stuck in together to get the job done, and celebrate with a well deserved fist bump at the end.

If you love exercising with a friend or two, then Team Games is the place to be!

Cardio Club

Our weekly cardio endurance fix. Here you can expect a single, longer workout with a focus on improving your aerobic capacity by utilising intervals on our row, ski, and bike cardio machines, combined with a beneficial mix of bodyweight and dumbbell/kettlebell movements.

Classes run every Sunday morning, with a 45-60 minute workout that features plenty of beginner-friendly options to keep you moving and your heart rate elevated. Longer workouts such as these are great for increasing the strength of your heart and lungs and helping to maintain a healthy cardiovascular system as you build that engine.

If you love a long, sweaty workout, then this is the ideal class for you!

Open Gym

Our Saturday morning open gym session are the ideal place to come in and do your own thing, or train with a friend and catch up on a workout that you missed in the week.

Not sure what to do? Don’t worry, as a coach will always be on hand to help you devise a workout plan for the session.

Class Timetable

Our weekly class schedule provides a range of different classes across every morning and evening from Monday to Friday, with additional Saturday open gym and Sunday endurance sessions also available.
