Here at LIFT Fitness, we specialise in providing quality small-group functional fitness and weightlifting classes.

All our classes are specifically designed to be accessible for all abilities, so you can improve your strength and fitness, no matter what your current fitness level is.

All our class sizes are capped to ensure everyone receives individual feedback from the coach to help improve their technique and performance, so you’ll always have a helping hand to guide you through your session.

Participating in a regular and sustainable fitness regime has a whole host of health benefits. Including, but not limited to: improving your ability to perform day-to-day activities; maintaining bone density as you age; lowering blood pressure; and helping to improve and maintain physical and mental health.

Our Coaches

Olly - Head Coach

With over a decade of experience in the fitness industry, Olly has always had a keen interest in sports since representing Gloucestershire in track athletics as a teen, playing rugby for multiple seasons in the Western Counties league, and more recently competing around the country in various functional fitness events.

Olly is a fully accredited Level 3 Personal Trainer, Level 2 British Weightlifting Coach, and Corrective Exercise Specialist for injury pre-habilitation and rehabilitation.

Emily - Weightlifting Coach

Emily is our resident specialist powerlifting and strength coach. She has a wealth of experience on the international powerlifting scene, which includes a Commonwealth gold and silver medallist and a British record holder in the squat.

She’s transferred her experience and knowledge into being a very capable Level 2 British Powerlifting Coach, and has found a love of empowering people (especially women) by coaching them to be strong and resilient in both body and mind. 

Lou - Strength Coach

Lou has been training at LIFT since our doors first opened, and soon developed an interest in coaching as well as training. One of our most popular members, she has made a very successful transition from being a member to a coach, and has found a niche in coaching strength training.

Lou is always one of the friendliest faces in the gym and is very skilled at helping new members find their feet and feel at home in the gym. 

Alex - Fitness Coach

Alex has gained a passion for fitness through a love of competitive sports, and the desire to keep healthy for as many years as possible throughout life.

A qualified Level 3 Personal Trainer, as well as having a BSc (Hons) in Sports, Fitness, and Coaching, Alex has a keen interest in a holistic approach to fitness, and the key role it plays in maintaining our mental health and well-being, as well as the physical benefits, which fits in very well with our culture here at the gym.
